Interview Transcript
Adrian: We’re joined on the line by Tim Campbell. Good morning Tim.
Tim: Good Morning! Oh, what’s happened with Andy?
Adrian: I don’t know. I woke up this morning and there was a text message on my phone saying “Morning, I’ve been chucking up my guts all morning, I feel awful, so … have a great show, I won’t be coming in!”
Tim: He’s probably thinking, “You know what, I’ve spoken to Tim Campbell twice, bored of that! What’s the point of coming into work!”
Adrian: Haha! So he’s not well and I sent him another text message saying “Would you like to come on the show to call in and tell us how you’re fairing” and I got nothing back so I think he’s been doped up to the eyeballs – it’s not a pretty sight. How have you been Tim?
Tim: Yes, very good.
Adrian: Enjoying Celebrity Singing Bee?
Tim: I really love it to be honest. We filmed these about three or four weeks ago so I’ve done them all but the 80s one especially … yeah I really love it, I get to muck around with the band and have a sing. So at the moment I’m sitting around and not doing much pretending to be busy. It’s good.
Adrian: They’re all pre-recorded right?
Tim: Yeah, we did them in-between Wheel of Fortune shoots. Ahh … the days of Wheel of Fortune… those were the days!
Geoff (Andy’s stand in!): Tim I have to ask, what’s with the back up dancers? Are they like the Tony Bartuccio dance squad?
Tim: It’s meant to be kinda daggy, that’s kinda the fun thing about it.
Geoff: Oh, they’re definitely going for the dag.
Tim: Totally. A friend of mine, Alana Scanlan, did all the choreography with Craig F?, it’s very funny.
Adrian: It’s like watching Italian TV. Have you seen in Italy how you can’t have a TV show without having topless dancers going to all the ad breaks … we’re almost there.
Tim: I’d like to think we’re slightly higher brow than that but I know what you mean!
Adrian: Can I just say you are great on this and no disrespect, but you are such a daggy dancer on this show. It’s just great!
Tim: What do you mean by that!
Adrian: Oh, you have a bit of dance and you’ve got these dimples that just shine… I love it!
Geoff: So Tim are you taking these moves to the clubs or are they coming from the clubs to the show?
Tim: I don’t even go to clubs I’m such a nanna but that’s actually why I should go to clubs to learn how to dance properly. I’m probably a pain in the arse on it to be honest but I really love it because it is ridiculously daggy that I’m in my element.
Adrian: You can really tell that everyone is having so much fun, especially you, you’re really into it. I had a big smile on my face watching it all the way through
Tim: I’m sure some people go “Ah, would you just lay off the Berocca before the show”. I’m still waiting on the green light to do some more, but hopefully we will. Even the audience get into it on the night, they actually have a good time, and the celebs do, so it’s one of those shows where everyone actually has a great time filming it and you just hope it translates to telly.
EDIT
Tim: … and Timmy might even have a bit of daggy dance and sing Footloose as well.
Adrian: I going to look out for you at the end dancing behind the singer who comes at the end dancing away with all the glitter around you having a bit of a dance, it’ll be fun.
Tim: Ahh you’ve always got to get your head in the credits!
A&A: Haha! Great talking to you, now quick question, how many times you seen Wicked?
Tim: Only twice.
Adrian: Only twice, where’s the support!?
Tim: I can’t get a freebie out of John Frost, I have to do the lottery before the show! I went and saw it on Opening Night when I saw you guys and mum and dad are going to come down in about a month so I’ll see it again when they come down.
A&A: Ah nice!

Loved Tim on ‘the bee’..he’s a great host for this type of show.
We’re stll waiting for the promised Anthony interview guys
Hi Taz,
Thanks for your comment on the site regarding Anthony Callea. We had planned to have him in before Wicked started but his rehearsal schedule was so demanding it wasn’t possible to have him on a breakfast show.
Having said that, we have re-contacted his team and hopefully we’ll have him on soon! We want to tell him what Dimples said about him getting up late in the morning!
Thanks for listening,
A&A
