You heard it here first – Sony is tipped to release Michael Jackson’s charity song “What More Can I Give” as the first official new release since his untimely death. There has been no comment from Sony regarding this.
The single was recorded with other famous artists including Beyonce, Justin Timberlake (‘N Sync), Mariah Carey, Usher, Anastasia and the late Luther Vandross. It was originally intended to be a fundraiser for various 9/11 charities but was never released by Sony due to conflicts with Michael Jackson’s Invincible album which had been released at the same time.
The song was performed in October 2001 at the United We Stand concert.
I was watching one of his concert on DVD and I can’t help feeling sad. The world has lost a really talented artiste! RIP, MJ. Ed
